We believe that taxes are an obstacle but necessary duty that all Americans must pay. Even thought taxes aren't everyone's favorite thing, Americans need to realize that these taxes are something that drive the economy, and help others in need.
Taxing the Classes: Taxes should not just be paid by the middle class. We should tax the wealthy. It is illogical to place all of the tax burden on the hard working middle classes. These people are working, supporting themselves and their families and are able, with equitable tax distribution to pay their fair share. By taxing the wealthy based on the amount of money they have, more money will be circulating in the economy and there will be more money to pay off debt.
Income vs. Sales tax: We believe that there should be no income tax because citizens work hard to earn a salary and income tax just punishes work ethic. By raising our sales tax we can fill the void that would be left by no income tax. We would like to have a national sales tax rate of 16.6%. By using this tax rate we will be able to keep balance in our economy by taxing consumption by not hard work. This rate will not only keep the economy balanced, it will add more money into the economy based on Americas high consumer rate. Ultimately, by raising sales tax we hope discourage consumerism and encourage environmentalism.
Environmental Tax: All plastic and most packaging that cannot be composted or recycled will be taxed 20% more than their environmentally friendly counterparts. If you own solar panels, have geothermal heating, or any other eco-friendly energy resource connected to your house you will receive a tax rebate.
